Introduction
Graduated in Dentistry from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1988), with a Masters (1993) and Doctorate (2000) in Dentistry (Orthodontics) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Post-doctorate fellow at Childrens Hospital - USC (California / USA). Professor at the School of Health Sciences and life (Dentistry Course) of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, working in undergraduate and graduate courses. She is the current coordinator of the Discipline of Orthodontics 1 (undergraduate) and served as Coordinator of the Scientific Committee of the Dentistry Course at PUCRS. She is Leader of the Research Group "Orthodontics", registered at CNPq in 2008. President of the Brazilian Association of Orthodontics of RS - ABOR-RS (Sogaor) from 2012 to 2020. Editor of the "Ortodontia Gaúcha" journal (ISSN 1414-3674 ) since 2007, Associate Editor of the Brazilian Oral Research journal (ISSN 1806-8324) since 2016 and was the Associate Editor of Dental Press Journal of Orthodontics (ISSN 2176-9451) from 2007 to 2018. She is a reviewer and contributor to several national and international journals. She has research experience in the field of Dentistry, with emphasis in Orthodontics, working mainly on the following themes: biocompatibility / cytotoxicity of materials, cleft lip and palate, and cone-beam computed tomography.
