Introduction

Christian Kristensen holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (1992), a Master's degree in Developmental Psychology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1996) and a PhD in Developmental Psychology from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2005), with an internship abroad at the University of Arizona (USA). He is a specialist in Neuropsychology (CRP/07) and has training in Cognitive Therapy at the Beck Institute for Cognitive Therapy and Research (USA). He is currently a Full Professor in the Post-Graduate Program in Psychology at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), Coordinator of the Cognition, Emotion and Behavior Research Group, and Coordinator of the Center for Study and Research in Trauma and Stress (NEPTE-PUCRS). He served as Dean of Graduate Studies at the Pró-Reitoria de Pesquisa e Pós-Graduação at PUCRS (2017-2021). He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS) for the period 2019-2022 and 2022-2025. Interests/areas of research: Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Trauma, Prolonged Grief Disorder, Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy, and Neuropsychology.
