Introduction

ALTAIR MARTINS (Porto Alegre, 1975) holds a Bachelor of Letters from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2002), a Master of Letters from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2006) and a doctor from the Postgraduate Program in Letters from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2013). He is currently a permanent professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. He has experience in the area of Letters, with an emphasis on Literary Theory, working mainly on the following themes: creative writing, literary creation and Brazilian literature. As a writer, he published, among others, "A parede no escuro" (2008), "Enquanto água" (2012) and "Os donos do inverno" (2019).
