Introduction

Daiane dos Santos Cardoso is a researcher at the Institute of Petroleum and Natural Resources (IPR) of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), dedicated to the development of R&D projects in the O&G sector and geological CO₂ storage (CCS). Leader of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) since 2013. She holds a Ph.D. in Geosciences, with an emphasis in Basin Analysis, from the Graduate Program in Geosciences at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (2023). She has a Master's degree in Geosciences, with an emphasis in Stratigraphy, from the Graduate Program in Geosciences at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2017). She earned her Bachelor's degree in Geology at the same university (2014). In 2022, she was a visiting researcher at the School of Geosciences, Sarkeys Energy Center, University of Oklahoma, where she conducted work related to geophysical analysis associated with artificial intelligence applied to the characterization of hydrocarbon reservoir areas located in the Pre-salt interval of the Santos Basin. She has experience in stratigraphy, petrophysics, geophysics, seismic stratigraphy, machine learning, geological mapping, geotechnics, and analytical techniques.
