Introduction
PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from PUCRS, Master in Genetics and Bachelor in Biological Sciences from UFRGS. Throughout his career he worked in immunology, leading the production of the foot-and-mouth disease vaccine at Bayer S/A and the production of monoclonal antibodies. During his doctorate, he delved deeper into neuroscience, working at the interface between behavior and immune response, evaluating the role of the immune response to environmental stressors in the development of behavioral and mood disorders. During his doctorate, he spent a year at Harvard Medical School, perfecting his research. She was a guest researcher at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth (USA), where she worked investigating the role of lung microbiota in inflammatory outcomes in premature babies. She was a Post-Doc at the Cell Therapy Center at the Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre and a collaborating professor at the Postgraduate Program in biomedical gerontology at PUCRS. At the moment. She is a neuro-immunologist researcher at InsCer, coordinator of the Innovation Group in experimental research - GIPEX, and resident professor of the online Postgraduate Course at PUCRS.
