In Nov 2021, PUCRS’ School of Health and Life Sciences professor, Dr. Tatiana Quarti Irigaray, went on a Work Mission to the Universidad Católica de Valencia San Vicente Martir (UCV), in Spain.

Both institutions have been partners 2013, after the visit of Prof. Carmen Moret-Tatay (UCV) to the Graduate Program in Psychology of PUCRS, with professor Dr. Irani Argimon. Since then, several joint actions have been developed, including visits, exchanges and co-advising of PUCRS’ PhD students.

Meetings and events

During her mission abroad, Prof. Irigaray met with the members of the MEBlab research group, led by Dr. Carmen Moret-Tatay. She also visited the Cognitive Psychology laboratory and the Office for International Relations at UCV to promote the internationalization of the programs.

She was also invited to open the 3rd International Week of the UCV’s School of Psychology, from Nov 15 – 19, 2021, and talked to undergraduate and graduate students interested in international mobility. She had the chance to introduce professors and researchers from UCV’s School of Psychology to the PrInt Program.

She also mediated the international event Almoçando com Ciência at PUCRS, with Prof. Moret-Tatay as one of the guest speakers.

The partnership between PUCRS and UCV has resulted in 17 articles and the double-degree of PhD student Juanita Hincapié Pinzón, from the graduate program in Psychology at PUCRS. In Sept 2021, she went to Valencia to do a one-year research internship under the advising of Prof. Dr. Moret-Tatay.

With  Irigaray’s mission to Spain, there are opportunities for new projects, including the creation of an international Master’s degree involving the graduate program in Psychology of PUCRS and UCV with the Università Degli Studi di Roma “La Sapienza” (Italy), in the area of Data Analysis in Health.

The mission was an opportunity to discuss the offer of double-degrees for PhD students in the graduate program in Psychology, as well as the development of scientific production and expansion of the physical and virtual mobility of students and professors from both institutions.

Dr. Irigaray went on a Work Mission Abroad on the PrInt project Biopsychosocial aspects associated with an individual’s health in adult life, under the priority area Health in Human Development.
