On Sept 18, Dr Michel Koole, from KU Leaven, Belgium, will be delivering the lecture PET Imaging for Differential Diagnosis and Drug Development. He is a visiting professor under the Institutional Project of Internationalization (PUCRS-PrInt). In his lecture, he will be talking about the main clinical applications of positron emission tomography (PET) imaging in differential diagnosis, especially in the area of Neurology. These applications have been developed at the Belgian institution for the last 50 years.
He will also be discussing some collaborative actions involving KU Leuven and the pharmaceutical industry in an effort to study new drugs using PET technology. The session will start at 2 PM, at the Ir. José Otão Amphitheater of the São Lucas Hospital of PUCRS. It is open to the public. No early registration is required. The lecture will be delivered in English. No interpreting will be provided.
