Lecture | Aging in the digital era and the role of GPS in our spatial navigation
Visiting professor, Dr Carmen Moret-Tatay, to deliver lecture on Dec 2
On December 2, at 2 PM, the Professor from the Universidad Católica de Valencia, Spain, Dr Carmen Moret-Tatay gave the lecture Aging in the digital era and the role of GPS in our spatial navigation, in support of the Institutional Project of Internationalization (PUCRS-PrInt). In her lecture, she will be discussing the impact of the use of GPS on human cognitive efforts and the complexity of this process for the process of aging, causing structural changes in specific areas of the brain. The visiting professor will also be introducing the audience to the WAY2MOVE project, aiming to develop better solutions for the sound use of GPS.
The session will occur at Room 407 of Building 11 on the Main Campus (Av. Ipiranga, 6.681). The lecture will be delivered in English. No interpreting will be provided. No early registration is required.
