PUCRS welcomes political science specialist from Universidad de Granada
Óscar Luengo is a member of the International Association of Political Science
Through the International Project of Internationalization (CAPES-PrInt), the Political Science professor from Universidad de Granada, in Spain, Óscar Luengo, is at PUCRS for a series of activities. The researcher, in addition to working at the Spanish university, is also active in other leading research centers around the world, such as the University of Machala, in Ecuardor, and the Amsterdam School of Communication Research, in the Netherlands.
On November 4, the professor was welcomed at PUCRS’s Office for International Cooperation (ECI) by Rafael Machado Madeira, professor at the School of Humanities and at the Graduate Programs (PPG) in History and in Sociology and Political Science, and by Carla Bonan, coordinator of the ECI. On that day, Luengo had the opportunity to see important spaces in the University, such as Tecnopuc, Living 360° and the Main Library.
During his time as a visiting professor at PUCRS, Luengo, joining the PPG in Sociology and Political Science, will give the lecture titled “New Methods for the Study of Political Communication,” with the first session taking place on November 6, at 11 a.m., in the Auditorium of Living 360°, and the second session on November 26, at the same time and place.

Every year, the Universidad of Granada welcomes more than 6 thousand international students and its community has over 80 thousand members. With a wide network of international cooperation, the university houses study centers in various fields, such as humanities and social and technology sciences, in addition to promoting research activities that contribute to global scientific advancements.
Brazil and Spain
Over the past few years, PUCRS has strengthened its Spanish research and exchange network. In all, 53 students from PUCRS have carried out academic mobility to Spanish universities, such as the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, the Universitat de Lleida and the Universidad Ceu San Pablo. In addition, several students from universities like the Universidad Pontifica de Salamanca and the Universidad Catolica de Valencia have come to PUCRS for part of the undergraduate program.
