The laboratory carries out important chemical and physical evaluation tests, required by CONAMA Resolution 401 for all manufacturers and importers of batteries and cells in order to quantify the levels of mercury, cadmium and lead, in addition to other tests such as metal alloy analysis.
The laboratory is accredited by Cgcre and ONA.
The laboratory is equipped with UV-Vis Spectrophotometry with integrating sphere reflectance and Inductively Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES), which perform a wide range of tests in organic and inorganic analysis.
In addition, LABELO continues to invest in the laboratory and is preparing to provide more services in the field of analytical chemistry, including testing for compliance with the Rohs directive, toys and mercury-vapor lamps, among others.
LABELO’s Chemical Analysis laboratory was initially created to meet the needs of ANVISA/INMETRO for a laboratory qualified to conduct tests on disposable hospital, dental and medical products, with the aim of analyzing the conformity of consumables such as syringes, needles, catheters and dental accessories, among others.
With the support of FINEP and PUCRS, LABELO set up the laboratory, trained staff, underwent INMETRO inspection and accredited a series of standards with this purpose and is now qualified to perform this task, collaborating in the safety and of patients and healthcare professionals, among others.
