University Context
All LABELO facilities are located on the Central Campus of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul – PUCRS. One of the most traditional universities in the country, which also holds a prominent position on the world stage.
The success achieved by LABELO over the years did not happen by chance. It would be almost impossible to describe all the causes and administrative initiatives implemented by university management over the years in order to achieve these goals.
Among the many factors that contribute to this reality are:

- PUCRS as a benchmark in teaching, research, development, quality, health and education;
- Establishing agreements and student exchanges with similar institutions in the country and abroad;

- Investment in the qualification of faculty, employees, fellows and trainees, encouraging the quest for knowledge and continuous improvement;
- Professionalism and commitment among all those involved in the university’s daily activities;
- An environment of good relationships, respectful coexistence and mutual trust;
- Preserving the rights of citizens above all else;
- Educational credits and special benefits for underprivileged students;
- Free medical and dentist care for the low income population.
The university ideology is present in all locations and sectors of the campus and also extends to the different laboratories (calibration and testing) that make up what can today be defined as the Labelo Complex.
