Welcome to the website of LABELO – Specialized Electric-Electronic Laboratories, a supplementary institution of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS), associated to the Office for the Vice-President of Administration and Finance. LABELO is a laboratory that carries out the calibration of measuring instruments and compliance testing for product certification. It has been operating for 50 years in the fields of scientific and industrial metrology and has been accredited by national and international organizations for 25 years, as well as being a benchmark in Brazil. In providing services to national industry, LABELO has incorporated the philosophy of a competitive market centered on quality and productivity.
To remain competitive in today’s market, it is essential that Brazil have a well-structured network of technological services that meets the needs of the industry and improves it performance on the international stage. This structure should legitimately protect the domestic market against the entry of goods and services that do not comply with quality criteria that are of interest to consumers.
In order to supply this need, the main goal of Labelo – Specialized Electric-Electronic Laboratories, the first accredited laboratory with a certified Quality System, is to provide technological services to the industrial community by means of Calibration and Testing Laboratories.
In light of global demands, Labelo implemented its quality system to meet the demands of international standards and today stands out for its integration with industry, with clients all over Brazil, and has become the main link between PUCRS and national industry.
