RNA-seq is a technique that quantifies and analyzes gene expression levels in biological samples. Unlike genomic sequencing, which determines the complete DNA sequence of an organism, RNA-seq identifies and quantifies the different types of RNA in a cell or tissue at a specific time.
After sequencing, the data are processed using bioinformatics tools.
