Why Analyze Microbiological Parameters?

At the Laboratory of Environmental Monitoring and Biotechnology (LMA), we recognize the importance of microbiological analysis in detecting contaminants in various samples, from environmental (soil, water, air, surfaces) to commercial products. These parameters are essential to ensure quality and safety in all environments.

Microbiological Analysis in Water

We highlight our specialized services for microbiological analysis in samples of drinking water and raw water. Research on coliform bacteria group, including Escherichia coli, is crucial to ensure the microbiological quality of water, indicating possible fecal contamination. This analysis is imperative, as it is required by both the Ministério da Saúde (Ordinance 888) and CONAMA Resolution 357. Our analyses use enzymatic substrate methodology for qualitative (presence or absence) and quantitative (Most Probable Number) assays, distinguishing themselves by the simultaneous identification of parameters, with agility, reliability, and substrate specificity for each analyzed group
