Project presentation:
Characterization of physical and geochemical phenomena of CO2 storage in geological reservoirs. The study comprised the detailed description, mineralogical and textural, of reservoir and seal rocks; the development of the CO2 dispersion model in the reservoir and the geochemical model of the rock-fluid-CO2 system, the identification of the partition mechanisms of carbon trapping in the subsurface and of the geochemical integrity of reservoir and seal rocks. An experimental modeling of the rock-fluid-CO2 interaction was also carried out.
