Permear
R&D Project – Comparative study of relative permeability measurements in transient and permanent regimes in pre-salt reservoirs.

Period of execution
2017 to 2022
Project presentation:
The project carried out a comparative study between relative permeability measurements by the transient and permanent methods, identifying the differences between them for different porous systems in the conditions of pre-salt reservoirs. Through this project, it was possible to implement the IPR’s special petrophysics laboratory, enabled to carry out relative permeability tests by transient and steady state methods and capillary pressure measurements in bench condition with oil samples. New equipment was purchased and existing equipment was customized, the existing physical infrastructure adapted and human resources trained.
