Project presentation:
CO2 removal technologies such as Direct Air CO2 Capture (DAC) promise reliable CO2 removal consistent with the stringent targets needed to advance action on climate change. In this context, IPR-PUCRS develops an RD&I project that addresses the implementation issues of an experimental DAC plant in Brazil.
The purpose of this project is to support the adjustments to the facilities and low-complexity renovations at IPR-PUCRS for the implementation of a laboratory to carry out RD&I activities associated with the characterization of materials, performance tests and validation of technologies for Direct Capture processes of CO2 from the Air (DAC) and consolidate the expansion of the Institute’s existing technical-analytical capacity.
