The Graduate Program in Letters (PPGL) will hold a selection process for Master’s and Doctoral Degrees in the second semester of each academic year (Aug-Dec) for admission in March of the following year. The selection process for Master’s and Doctoral Degrees in the areas of Linguistics, Literature Theory and Creative Writing is conducted by a committee made up by faculty members of the PPGL and is constituted by the following stages:
Master’s Degree: Preliminary thesis project, interview and documented CV.
Doctoral Degree: Dissertation project, project defense and documented CV.
Note 1: Creative Writing applicants must submit three original texts, new or published, written by the applicants, themselves.
Note 2: the stages regarding the interview for the Master’s Degree and project defense for the Doctoral Degree will be conducted via videoconference.

From April, 27 to June, 30 applications are open for the selection process for Master’s and Doctoral Degrees of the PPGL/PUCRS – admission in 2022.
