The Management Plan for the Pró-Mata CRNC is the planning document that systematically establishes the set of actions to be undertaken in order to achieve the proposed objectives, grounded in knowledge of the elements that constitute the territorial space and in the interpretation of the interaction between these elements.
Knowledge of its ecosystems, natural processes and human interventions influencing or defining them, analysis of past aspects and current and future impacts have been crucial to find ways to reconcile the use of space with the goals of Pró-Mata.
Thus, the Management Plan involves a set of actions necessary for the management and sustainable use of natural resources in the area and its surroundings, in order to associate – appropriately and in appropriate spaces – diverse uses with biodiversity conservation.
