Public Affairs officers met with University representatives

On Tuesday, Oct 29, PUCRS opened its doors to Erik Holm-Olsen, Country Public Affairs Officer of the US Embassy, and John Jacobs, Public Affairs Officer at the Consulate General in Porto Alegre. The visitors were welcomed by the Executive Coordinator of the Office for International Cooperation, Carla Cassol. The visit was also attended by EducationUSA’s Regional Educational Advising Coordinator, Rita Moriconi.
The visit marks the first anniversary of the EducationUSA Office at PUCRS. In addition to the actions developed at the center – located at Office 110 of Building 1 –, the parties also discussed new cooperation possibilities PUCRS and the United States for 2020.
The office is affiliated to the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs – ECA, of the US State Department. Today, there are more than 425 offices in 175 countries. EducationUSA is a network that advances the mobility between the USA and Brazil by offering accurate, comprehensive, and current information about US higher education institutions and specific programs at no charge to the community.
