Training and advising sessions with an eye to the international market will be the first action of Globaltech
In December, PUCRS’ Science and Technology Park (Tecnopuc), Parque Zenit, Tecnosinos, Feevale TechPark, Fiergs and Sebrae-RS signed an agreement to join Globaltech, a project designed to support the internationalization of companies. The first action of the program is expected to occur in Mar 2019, as about 15 businesses will be selected to have training and advising sessions with an eye to the international market.
Another activity that has been planned is a technical mission to the Web Summit Lisboa 2019, involving local entrepreneurs. Dr Rafael Prikladnicki, director of Tecnopuc, claims that an effort is being made to develop environments and entrepreneurs for a global market. “As for the Alliance for Innovation and the Pacto Alegre, this type of initiative evokes the implementation of other joint actions for the benefit of the city and the region”, ponders he.
The agreement was signed during the Demoday Startups Digital, at Sebrae-RS, and featured representatives of local businesses and institutions. Marciano Testa, CEO at Agibank, introduced the audience to the case that was developed at the bank and the project of Instituto Caldeira, located at Shopping DC Navegantes, and which is being remodeled to be home for startups and innovation and entrepreneurship projects. The event also featured the panel session “A Porto Alegre que Queremos (The Porto Alegre that we want)”, by Dr Jorge Audy, Superintendent of Innovation and Development of PUCRS and the University’s representative at the Alliance for Innovation, as well as Carlos Aranha, president of Rede Gaúcha de Ambientes de Inovação. (Reginp). They were both mediated by François Holl, president of Associação Gaúcha de Startups (AGS).
