New network management model has produced impressive results
PUCRS’ Science and Technology Park (Tecnopuc) is among the top 10 finalists of the program Inspiring Solutions. The program is sponsored by the International Association of Technology Parks and Innovation Areas (IASP) and embraced Tecnopuc because of the new management model in effect at the Park. Released in April this year, the new structure had been discussed throughout 2017, during the Strategic Planning of the Area of Innovation and Development of the University, and features the most current approaches for the governance of innovation environments, which embodies a lighter, quicker and globally connected model.
Tecnopuc’s director, Dr Rafael Prikladnicki, claims that the world has changed, but the linear and hierarchical structures of the industrial era have not changed very much and the most important innovation environments are seeking new management and governance models. “Tecnopuc is very much in line with this trend and, with this new model, seeks to encourage teams to work more autonomously and responsibly, and consequently foster creativity and innovation”, comments he.
The results of the Inspiring Solutions will be announced at the 35th IASP World Conference , in September, in Isfahan, Iran. In 2015, Tecnopuc ranked third in Inspiring Solutions, at the IASP Conference in China, with a case on the Synergy Acceleration Program.
