Anprotec award is a reference is recognizing innovation environments for over 15 years
The PUCRS Science and Technology Park (Tecnopuc) has been recognized as the second-best Science and Technology Park in the country by the 2024 Anprotec National Award for Innovative Entrepreneurship. The award ceremony took place on Tuesday (3) at the São José dos Campos Technological Innovation Park (PIT) during the 34th Anprotec Conference.
With the theme “Innovation Environments Transforming Territories and Cities,” the Conference brought together representatives from innovation systems across Brazil to explore how innovation drives economic development, promote environmental sustainability, and improve quality of life in Brazilian cities. The award recognized outstanding achievements in science, technology, and innovation in the country across different categories. Flavia Fiorin, operations and entrepreneurship manager at Tecnopuc, points out the return of the Anprotec award and the importance of this recognition for the Science and Technology Park.
“We celebrate being, once again, among the best Technology Parks in Brazil, alongside SUPERA (São Paulo) and BH-TEC (Minas Gerais). We also celebrate the achievements of Noharm.ai as an impact business, and VENTIUR as an accelerator, as well as CEI, the incubator of the UFRGS Institute of Informatics, and Carbon Token, from Tecnosinos. It is an honor to see our gaúcho ecosystem standing out in four of the six categories of this important award. The collaboration within our ecosystem has been a key national highlight,” celebrates Flavia.
In this edition, the award was structured to recognize impactful cases, programs, and initiatives in each category, making the award more inclusive and diverse. One of this year’s highlights was Noharm.ai, a company that is part of the Tecnopuc community. The startup placed first in the Impact Business category and received the Carlos Eduardo Negrão Bizzotto. Daniela Faccio, a pharmaceutical AI and healthcare specialist, represented the startup at the award ceremony and emphasized the importance of the recognition for her business.
“Being recognized as an impact business at Anprotec is a great honor for Noharm.ai, which is the result of hard work in technology and science, bringing together our knowledge to ensure patient safety in both the public and private healthcare systems. This year has been very special; we are closing 2024 with important awards. In addition to Anprotec, we were recognized by the Llama Impact Innovation Awards and by the AWS Health
Equity Initiative, which provides improvements in patient safety for public health in Brazil,” says Daniela.
VENTIUR, Tecnopuc partner, received the Lynaldo Cavalcanti award in the accelerator category. Leonardo Mezzomo, partner at the accelerator, celebrates the achievement with satisfaction and explains that this victory was made possible through the VENTIUR Inova Amazônia program.
“A beautiful program that was designed by Sebrae Nacional and co-executed by us in several states in the region. Inova Amazônia was created to develop bioeconomy projects, and through the program, we supported hundreds of these new projects that became businesses during the program. Beyond business development, we were also able to socially develop the region, bringing about a change in the reality of people,” summarizes Leonardo.
Tecnopuc has been awarded the Anprotec National Award for Innovative Entrepreneurship in the Science and Technology Parks category three times before: in 2004, 2009, and 2016. In 2014, the Park was awarded in the Best Business Incubator category, with RAIAR.
