Researcher visits PUCRS to discuss Political Sociology and International Relations

The visit strengthens agreement and opens doors to new collaborations between the institutions

Johanna Siméant-Germanos, from École Normale Supérieure (ENS), in Paris, one of the most prestigious academic institutions in France, visited PUCRS to reinforce the academic partnership between the universities. A specialist in Political Sociology and international topics, Siméant-Germanos came to Brazil through the Institutional Project of Internationalization (PUCRS/PrInt), with the purpose of promoting academic exchange and collaborating with research initiatives.

Known for its academic excellence and interdisciplinary focus, ENS Paris keeps an agreement with PUCRS, paving the way for collaboration in various fields of knowledge. The professor’s visit strengthens the partnership between the institutions, enhancing future opportunities for exchange and academic development.

Siméant-Germanos was welcomed by the Coordinator of the Office for International Cooperation (ECI), professor Carla Bonan, and by the Coordinator of the International Relations Program, professor Teresa Marques. The reception included an institutional moment, followed by a tour around the campus, which included visits to Living 360°, the Main Library and the Science and Technology Museum (MCT).

Johanna Siméant-Germanos’s visit to PUCRS emphasizes the importance of strengthening the ties between both institutions, promoting discussions and collaborations in crucial topics for Sociology and International Relations, with the potential to generate new academic projects and international partnerships.
