New consuls welcomed at President's Office

On Tuesday, Dec 7, PUCRS welcomed the Consul General of Ireland in São Paulo, Eoin Bennis, the Deputy Consul General, Rachel Fitzpatrick, and the Public Outreach Officer Fabiana Lino. They were welcomed at the Great Hall of the President’s Office by Br. Evilázio Teixeira, by the Advisor of Inter-Institutional Relations, Solimar Amaro, and by the Coordinator of the Office for International Cooperation, Mrs. Carla Cassol.
The new consuls had the opportunity to visit PUCRS’ Main Campus and learn more about the international programs and partnerships involving the University. They showed special interest in programs in the areas of innovation, technology and sustainability. The visitors will continue working with representatives of their areas of interest, such as the Institute of Culture, to promote Irish culture at the University, and PUCRS’ Science and Technology Park, to connect the Consulate to Tecnopuc Startups.
