Dr. David Mooney, Center Director of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in the USA, and Mr. Cezar Borsa, Cultural Affairs Advisor from the General Consulate of United States of America in São Paulo, have visited PUCRS.
Welcomed by the President of PUCRS, Dr. Joaquim Clotet, the authorities visited the following PUCRS units: Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation and Development, Office of International and Institutional Affairs, Science and Technology Park (TECNOPUC), Institute of Petroleum and Natural Resources (IPR), Center for Nanoscience and Micro-Nanotechnology and the Nucleus of Technology and Solar Energy (NT Solar), aiming to prospect cooperation between NREL and PUCRS.
Dr. David Mooney also delivered three lectures entitled “The Terawatt Challenge: PV Research at NREL”, “Solar Energy: Current Research and Future Trends ” and “The Infrastructure for Energy Systems Integration” for PUCRS graduate students, researchers, professors and employees.
