Center integrates three multidisciplinary groups with specialized professionals to support students of the University
Learning problems; assistance to people with disabilities, with reduced mobility and with specific educational needs; services to students seeking orientation on mental health care and its impacts on the personal, academic and professional training process. These are the psychosocial needs that are addressed by PUCRS’ Student Center, whose activities are being offered remotely during the suspension of in-person activities.
Dr. Vanessa Manfredini, coordinator of the Center and Professor in the Psychology program of the School of Health and Life Sciences, is aware of the problems students might face. “We know that this is a delicate time, with many insecurities and uncertainties, but our teams are available and prepared to welcome and assist our students to cope better in this context of isolation, deprivation and stressful situations that are bringing about several symptoms”.
