Bettina Steren dos Santos, coordinator of the Graduate Program in Education, represented the University
In December, PUCRS signed a cooperation agreement with Uruguay’s Teacher Training Council. The Council is responsible for the development of guidelines and strategies for the improvement of education in the country. Professor from the School of Humanities and the Graduate Programs in Education and Philosophy, Bettina Steren dos Santos, represented PUCRS in the execution of the agreement.
The agreement being signed reinforces the partnership and cooperation between both institutions with a strong vocation for training and research in higher education. The event represents the beginning of what is expected to be a highly fruitful academic cooperation, removing obstacles to create an effective exchange between the institutions and their research and teaching teams.
In addition, the agreement provides for the promotion of studies and exchanges between researchers, faculty and students. It also establishes the cooperation for promotion, reciprocity and complementarity of lines of work. This agreement reinforces Uruguay’s Teacher Training Council’s commitment to strengthening interinstitutional networks with prestigious universities in the region, in addition to strengthening friendship ties between Uruguay and Brazil.
