Study by University of Texas and University of Macedonia earns Rafael Prikladnicki two positions in ranking
The Director of the Science and Technology Park of PUCRS, Dr Rafael Prikladnicki, has been recognized as one of the most active Software Engineering researchers from all over the world, from 2010 to 2017. The ranking has been compiled since 1999 and is embraced by a study carried out by researchers from University of Texas in Dallas (USA) and University of Macedonia (Greece). The study will be published in the journal “The Journal of Systems & Software” (JSS), in Jan 2019, but is now available here.
Prikladnicki ranks 17th in the category “Consolidated Researchers” and 2nd as most active researcher in “Top-quality Journals”, in the same category. He serves as Director of Tecnopuc, and professor at the School of Technology of PUCRS. Since 2010, he has served as permanent professor of the Graduate Program in Computer Science (PPGCC). Additionally, he was a student in the first class of the PhD in Computer Science of PUCRS. This is the first time two Brazilian researchers have made it to the list, which also features UFBA Professor Eduardo Santana de Almeida.
