Professor Rodrigo Coimbra sought to strengthen ties between both institutions
Intent on promoting the academic mobility between students of SolBridge International School of Business and of PUCRS, Prof. Rodrigo Coimbra, from the South Korean university, paid PUCRS a visit earlier in August. He met with Business School coordinators to discuss double degree programs and research cooperation. He also visited the Science and Tehnology Park of PUCRS (Tecnopuc), as he had the chance to see how private companies, the government and the university interact in the park.
Coimbra was welcomed at the Office for International Cooperation by the Dean Dr Heloísa Delgado, in an attempt to bring the two universities closer together. He showed her the level of internationalization of his institution and claimed that many Brazilian students could brush up their English in a multicultural environment. He also learned about the actions for promotion of internationalization at PUCRS and the support and assistance that is provided to international students.
Today, PUCRS has an active agreement with Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, in South Korea. This partnership makes it possible for undergraduate students to do an academic mobility program in both institutions.
