Golden Age shows best universities established 1945-1967
PUCRS has made its presence felt in the Times Higher Education (THE)’s Golden Age Rankings 2020 as one of the best universities established from 1945 to 1967. The list includes 308 universities from all over the world founded in this period, considered a “golden age” in higher education worldwide. This post-WWII period saw a rapid expansion of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and a major increase in investments in university research.
In the ranking, PUCRS appears as the best private university from Brazil, standing out in terms of industry income, ranking first among Brazilian public and private companies.
The Times Higher Education is considered one of the most important indicators of higher education in the world. The THE looks at the strengths of each university in relation to all its main activities: teaching, research, citations, knowledge transfer and international perspectives.
