Two Brazilian universities are participating in the University and Research Leadership Forum
PUCRS has been invited to join the University and Research Leadership Forum, a global group of universities playing a major role in the process of economic and social development of their regions and countries. PUCRS and the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) are the only Brazilian universities to be part of the group.
The Forum, created by the Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils (GFCC), headquartered in Washington, intends to spot global trends, emerging issues and new models of higher education and research; systematize and disseminate information in disruptive initiatives in education and research all over the world; foster new connections between new entrepreneurs and educational and research institutions; and generate global visibility for the institutions participating in the forum.
The first meeting occurred in November during the Global Innovation Summit, at the Imperial College in London. Joaquim Clotet, then President of PUCRS, participated in the event along with presidents from the most important universities in the world.
