Matheus Grahl, researcher from the Graduate Program in Medicine and Health, went to the event in Gqeberha, in South Africa
Matheus Grahl, post-doctoral researcher from the Graduate Program in Medicine and Health Sciences, from PUCRS’s School of Medicine, was selected to join the Brazilian delegation of researchers after going through the selection process carried out by the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MCTI) to participate in the BRICS Young Scientist Forum in Gqeberha, South Africa. The Brazilian delegation consisted of representatives from various institutions.
The theme of the BRICS Young Scientist Forum, which took place between July 31st and August 2nd, was “Building BRICS and Africa partnership for mutually accelerated growth, sustainable development and inclusive multilateralism,” and included the presentation of papers on climate change, manufacturing, circular economy, education and agriculture.
Matheus participated in the panel “The Future of Society”, and shared with the PUCRS Portal the importance of the Graduate Program in Medicine and Health Sciences in his academic journey: “I take this opportunity to thank all the support you and CPG have given me during my PhD. This selection is a result of all of the efforts that were made throughout my academic journey.”
