They were welcomed at the Noble Hall of the President’s Office of PUCRS, in the presence of the President Br. Evilázio Teixeira; the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, Dr. Carlos Eduardo Lobo e Silva; and the Dean of the School of Humanities Draiton Gonzaga. Then, the first international cooperation agreement between PUCRS and KUL, was signed: the first with a Polish university. After that, they met at the Office for International Cooperation to discuss new projects to foster Polish culture and language, as well as research and academic mobility.
The guests took a tour of the campus and learned about different PUCRS projects and infrastructures. They visited the Center of European and German Studies (CDEA), the Language Center (LEXIS), the Brain Institute (BraIns), the Institute for Research and Development (IDEAR), the Library, the Institute of Culture, TECNOPUC and learned more about the educational initiatives of PUCRS Online.

The good relationship between PUCRS and KUL provides new opportunities for cooperation in the area of international volunteering, since both institutions are Catholic and invest in various social projects. Lastly, they visited the Science and Technology Museum, where they discussed the possibilities of cooperation involving culture, education and internationalization.
