Two-week course precedes the official start of the semester and aims to prepare students
This Monday, February 10th, starts the new edition of the Portuguese for International Students course, offered by the Office for International Cooperation to international students in academic mobility at PUCRS in the first semester of 2020. The two-week program preceding the official start of the semester aims to help new students adapt to the city of Porto Alegre and the University.
The group includes 20 students from eight countries: Germany, Canada, Colombia, South Korea, France, England, Italy and Mexico. The new students come from PUCRS partner universities abroad and will study at different Schools this year.
Classes will cover both Portuguese grammar points and cultural aspects of Brazil and Rio Grande do Sul. In the afternoon, integration activities are scheduled in different Campus spaces, including a Brazilian dance class at the Sports Park, a workshop on flight simulators of the Aeronautical Sciences program, a visit to PUCRS Science and Technology Museum and an activity at Crialab – Tecnopuc’s Creativity Laboratory.
On March 2 and 3, 2020, other international students will join the group during the Orientation Seminar. To learn more about PUCRS activities for international students, follow Academic Mobility on Facebook and Instagram.
