QS World University Rankings by Subject featuring PUCRS programs
The Medicine, Computer Science and Information Systems programs have fared well in the 10th edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject, published by higher education analysts QS Quacquarelli Symonds. The ranking features the top universities in 48 areas of study.
As for Medical school programs, PUCRS is the only private institution among the 20 Brazilian institutions in the list. The institution fared between in citations and H-index. On the other hand, in the areas of Computer Science and Information Systems, PUCRS is the only private company in the south of Brazil to be in the list. The programs stood out in the categories citations and employer reputation.
In the 2020 ranking, more than 1,300 university programs were evaluated. The ranking methodology looks at academic reputation, employer reputation, citations and the H-Index. This index shows the productivity and impact of the research published by the institutions and their researchers.
Since 2011, QS World University Rankings by Subject, has highlighted the world’s top institutions in a wide spectrum of individual academic areas every year.
