Gilberto Stürmer was acclaimed by Asociación Andaluza de Derecho, Medio Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible
At the closing of the IX Hispanic-Brazilian Conference of Philosophy of Law and Human Rights, at the University of Sevilla, in Spain, Law School professor Gilberto Stürmer won an award from Asociación Andaluza de Derecho, Medio Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible. An active exponent in the area of Labor Law, he was awarded in recognition of this professional career and excellence. He was recognized for his achievements as a professor and researcher in the provision of training for generations of jurists who play a very important role in bringing countries closer together. Every year, an award is bestowed upon a prominent scholar. In 2016, Professor Nuria Belloso Martin, from Universidad de Burgos (Spain), had her achievements recognized.
Stürmer, who was selected as the 100th member of the Brazilian Academy of Labor Law in 2015, the most important private entity committed to studies and research into Law and Labor Procedure in Brazil, claims that this distinction he received in Spain brings the Graduate Program in Law of PUCRS to a higher level, in the realm of internationalization. This is the fifth time he attends the conference, which is organized by Asociación Andaluz. This edition featured representatives of ten institutions from Spain, Brazil and Argentina. In addition to Stürmer, Dr André Jobim de Azevedo was another scholar from PUCRS to make its presence felt at the event.
