Flávia do Canto compares legal systems of Brazil and US in the area of Consumer Law
Law School professor and PhD student in the Graduate Program in Law, Flávia do Canto Pereira, is at the Syracuse University College of Law, in the US. Flávia arrived in the institution as a Visiting Professor on Jan 1 and will be staying there for two months to continue her research into Consumer Law.
“I want to compare the legal system of Brazil with that of the US in the area. I also want to brush up my English and learn more about the teaching methods. I’m doing research and attending classes as a student”, she says.
Do Canto is very excited about the structure of Syracuse University College of Law, as it is located in an eclectic environment surrounded by buildings. “I received a very warm welcome. I introduced the Marist mission to the university and its significance. I also had the chance to introduce them to the structure of PUCRS and the commitment the institution is making to internationalization”, she says.
