Spanish executive coordinates Alliance for Innovation of Porto Alegre
PUCRS welcomed the executive responsible for coordinating the Alliance for Innovation of Porto Alegre, Mr Josep Piqué. Mr Piqué had breakfast with the President, Br. Evilázio Teixeira and the Vice President, Dr Jaderson Costa da Costa. The meeting counted on the consul of Spain for Porto Alegre, Mr Francisco de Asís Benítez Salas, as well as the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies (Propesq), Dr Carla Bonan; the Vice President for Extension and Community Affairs (Proex), Marcelo Bonhemberger; the Superintendent for Innovation and Development, Dr Jorge Audy, and the Dean for Institutional Relations, Mr Solimar dos Santos Amaro.
In Piqué’s view, the Alliance, which was officiated on Monday, Apr 10, is an initiative that embodies many of the actions carried out in Europe and is a great opportunity for PUCRS in view of its potential for innovation. In addition to the Alliance for Innovation of Porto Alegre, the parties discussed other collaborative projects, such as: the Center of Internet of Things of the Universidad La Salle Ramon Llull, from Barcelona, at Tecnopuc and the beginning of a social impact initiative, in partnership with Proex and the Pastoral and Solidarity Center , which will involve elementary, middle and high school students from the Marist Network and PUCRS.
