Today, PUCRS has cooperation agreements of research with Sophia University, Keio University and Metropolitan Geriatric Hospital and Institute of Gerontology. On the other hand, the academic mobility agreement with Sophia University makes it possible for students to complete one semester of their undergraduate degrees in the Japanese institution. The courses offered at the institution are either in Japanese or in English.
