PUCRS exchange students have an opportunity to learn about Brazilian companies and their operation, as well as to join several research groups and research centers of the university. International Internships are offered at different laboratories at PUCRS, at companies established at the Science and Technology Park (Tecnopuc) and at partner companies around town.
There are openings in different areas such as business, education, computer science, engineering and biology, among others. The experience is a way to create network, encourage professional development and academic improvement. The university offers support during the entire internship period to find housing, counselling services, if needed, access to the Library and a wide variety of things.
Registration is open all year long, but applicants must submit their application at least three months prior the beginning of students’ activities at PUCRS. The program is available to applicants aged 18+ who are regularly enrolled in partner universities overseas, at the undergraduate or graduate level, who meet the specific requirements of the project chosen.
Students may eventually be entitled to a Certificate of Completion stating the total number of hours undertaken and information about the internship, or an Academic Transcript presenting grades and number of credits.
