Academic mobility students of PUCRS visited places such as Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires and Foz do Iguazu
On a vacation mode, international students who were enrolled in the academic mobility program at PUCRS in the second semester of 2019 enjoyed their school break to get to know the beauties of Brazil and neighboring countries. Some of the favorite destinations include Rio de Janeiro and Argentina.
Portuguese students from Universidade do Porto Beatriz Lourenço and Ana Luísa Alvares Pereira do Espírito Santo took the time in Brazil to get to know a little more about the country, as they went to the beaches in Santa Catarina, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, as well as Iguazu Falls and Buenos Aires, in Argentina. For Ana Luísa, the people, hospitality and energy of the Brazilian people were the most striking aspects of the trip. “I loved to get to know a little about the history of each place I visited and find something from my country. It was easy to feel at home”, she celebrates.
German student from Georg-August-University Göttingen Sven Olaf Fennen, went to four cities in the state of Rio de Janeiro: Cabo Frio, Arraial do Cabo, Armação dos Búzios and Rio de Janeiro itself. Medical school student Luis Manuel Ley Dominguez, from Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla (UPAEP), in Mexico, enjoyed the holiday season to visit historic destinations such as Ouro Preto and Belo Horizonte, in Minas Gerais, and the beauties of Foz do Iguazu, in Paraná. Swedish students Karin Berg and Erick Rajaonarivony from Uppsala University, headed to Uruguay, Argentina and Peru.
The Academic Mobility team is now getting ready to welcome new international students in 2020/1. On Feb 10, students from different nationalities will have the chance to begin the course Portuguese for International Students, offered by the Office for International Cooperation.
