2020/1 academic mobility students and University Buddies joined online session
On Tuesday, Jun 30, the Office for International Cooperation promoted a farewell event with the International students enrolled in the academic mobility program at PUCRS in the first semester of 2020. Despite the major changes brought about in the dynamics of classes caused by the pandemic, many students kept their enrollment in the program, having remote classes, both in Brazil or back in their home countries.
The session featured some remarkable moments from the beginning of the semester, such as the program Portuguese for International Students and the Orientation Seminar. In all, in 2020/1, PUCRS welcomed 36 international students for the academic mobility program. The group includes students from more than 10 countries: Germany, Bolivia, Canada, Colombia, South Korea, Spain, France, Italy, Mexico and the UK.
In addition to a video that featured the moments they experienced at PUCRS and with University Buddies – volunteer students who were paired up with them to help them acclimate at the University – the virtual session allowed participants to talk about their experience at the University and in Brazil.
