60 projects made it to the finals of the Sebrae event
Idear – PUCRS’ Interdisciplinary Laboratory of Entrepreneurship and Innovation won the regional leg of Sebrae’s Entrepreneurial Education Prize. The laboratory was selected for the national leg as one of the 60 best entrepreneurial initiatives in Brazil. It has also made it to the top 15 in Higher Education, as it now represents the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The prize recognizes and shares the successful educational practices that foster students’ entrepreneurial behavior. Idear is aimed at developing the university community’s entrepreneurial attitude and promotes problem-solving thinking through lectures, courses, advising services and events.
The country’s winners will be revealed at the event ConheCER – International Seminar on Entrepreneurial Education, Oct 8 – 9, in Florianópolis – SC. Results of the regional leg were published in May, and the laboratory ended up atop 108 cases in four categories.
Here’s the selection criteria: quest for opportunities and innovative attitude; persistence in materializing the idea; team engagement; quality and efficiency; precaution; clear goals; search for information to start activities; planning and monitoring activities; partnerships to develop the actions as well as and inspiration for other educational institutions.
In 2017, Idear made it to the finals of the award. It ranked among the top three initiatives among over 100 applicants from 78 higher education institutions (HEIs) in 17 states.
