New edition of Times Higher Education's World University Rankings features institution among the best in the world
For another consecutive year, the new Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2021 features PUCRS among the best institutions in the world. Being one of the most important publications in the evaluation of Higher Education, the University appears as the #1 private institution in the south of Brazil and #2 among private institutions in Brazil. The ranking was published on Wednesday, Sept 2.
This year, the University stood out in terms of industry income and citations. Overall, more than 1,500 universities from 93 countries appear in the list. THE’s methodology uses 13 indicators to assess the institutions in four main areas: teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international perspectives.
In July this year, PUCRS made it to the top 20 among Latin American institutions in the THE Latin America 2020. Still in 2020, the University earned a very good position among young institutions in the ranking THE Golden Age.
