Two-week program includes language practice and integration activities
In the second semester of 2019, incoming international students at PUCRS will have the chance to complete the program Portuguese for International Students, offered at no charge through the Office for International Cooperation. The new edition, offered from Jul 15 – 26, aims to provide the new students with a smooth transition in Porto Alegre and present the different facilities at the University before the beginning of the scholastic semester.
The program includes Portuguese language classes in the mornings and integration activities in the afternoons. The classes address language issues and cultural aspects of Brazil and Rio Grande do Sul. Some afternoons will include actions in different areas around campus, such as the Tecnopuc’s Creativity Laboratory (Crialab). The program also includes a tour of the Science and Technology Museum (MCT), sports practices and Brazilian dance workshops at the Sports Park as well as flight simulator workshops at the School of Technology.
The programs gives the new students the chance to meet other incoming students. It is also an opportunity for them to visit different areas around campus and work closely with the Academic Mobility team. The Academic Mobility team is available for further information: [email protected].
