The delegation was welcomed in the Noble Hall of the President’s Office and participated in meetings and visits in the Campus
This Wednesday, on December 13, the University was visited by Canada’s consul general Caroline Charette, the trade commissioner Emily King, and trade commissioner and head of the Trade Office of Porto Alegre Paulo Orlandi. The representatives were welcomed at the Noble Hall of the President’s Office by Senior Vice President Br. Manuir Mentges, along with the coordinator of the Office for International Cooperation Carla Bonan and professor Lilian Hüber, representing the Office of the Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies (PROPESQ).
The visit is part of the rapprochement between the new administration of the consulate in Brazil and PUCRS, promoting discussions on opportunities to strengthen the cooperation in education, innovation and entrepreneurship.
During the visit, the delegation also participated in a work meeting in the International Office, along with professors Carla and Lilian, in addition to professors Gabriela Wallau, from the Office of the Vice President for Undergraduate Studies and Continuing Education, and Alexandre Anselmo, from the School of Humanities’ Graduate Program in Education.
Lastly, they went on a tour of Tecnopuc, carried out by the leader of Tecnopuc Startups, Daniela Carolina Ecker, with discussions on the internationalization of companies and cooperation between Canada and Tecnopuc in fields of common interest, such as agrotech, internet of things (IoT), artificial intelligence, health and education.
