A British delegation composed of Adam Goldwater, Georgina Scott and Kathryn Wilson visited PUCRS in order to continue to develop the collaborative activities from the partnership between PUCRS’ Science and Technology Museum (MCT) Museu de Ciências e Tecnologia – PUCRS and the Great North Museum: Hancock, from Newcastle University, in England.

On top of that, Adam Goldwater delivered two lectures on the relationship between museums, schools and universities entitled “Building Bridges: Exploring the Connections and Disconnections between Museums and Schools” and “Project MUSE – What does a fully integrated Museum-University-School-Engagement program look like in practice?”, in the amphitheater of MCT. MCT’s representatives Lucas Sgorla de Almeida (Curator) and the Museum Assistants Diana Schuch Bertoglio and Roberta Giglio went to Britain with the group in order to continue working on the project at the Great North Museum: Hancock.

A project entitled “The Use Of Museums Scientific Collections For Teaching Evolution And Understanding Of Environmental Changes From The Ecomuseological Perspective”, coordinated by both institutions, was selected by the British Council Brasil’s Newton Fund, one of the most important British fund financing projects and the first earned by PUCRS.
