Éder Henriqson to represent PUCRS at a Capes and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation congress
PUCRS will be making its presence felt at the 10th Brazilian-German Frontiers of Science and Technology Symposium 2019 (BRAGSFOST), a scientific cooperation event that will bring together as many as 30 researchers from each country in Munich from Sep 5 – 8. The event is being offered in partnership between Capes and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. Researchers will be discussing topics on Artificial Intelligence, Circular Economics, Genetic Engineering and Resilience Engineering.
The event will feature four panelists and the Dean of the Business School, Dr Éder Henriqson, will be one of them. His panel session will address resilience engineering in complex sociotechnical systems as well as the promotion of sustainable systems and risks and uncertainties in aviation, oil, gas and health. “I will present findings of research that I have coordinated and advised in these areas. I will try to show the interdisciplinary scientific challenges we face in resilience engineering, including a more focused perspective on human factors and safety management systems, ”comments he.
Henriqson’s participation in the event earns PUCRS a leading position in the national and international scenario. He was appointed head of the panel session by researchers from other higher education institutions. “I’m glad they thought of me. I have been working with international partners for a while now but no one from Germany. It will be a great opportunity to develop new projects and institutional partnerships, ”he adds.
