Institutions discussed future joint projects
PUCRS is continuously working on expanding its international connections. On Thursday, Aug 30, the university welcomed representatives of Asia Pacific University (APU), from Malaysia. The university’s Senior Manager Business Development, Muhammad Anis Rehman, came to find out about possible joint actions involving the institutions.
In a meeting at the Office for International Cooperation, the Dean Dr Heloísa Delgado welcomed him and reinforced PUCRS’ commitment to internationalization and its interest in working closely with Asian countries. The parties discussed academic mobility opportunities, courses taught in English and undergraduate internships as well.
During his visit, Rehman was welcomed at the Office of the Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research (Propesq), as he had the chance to learn more about the graduate programs of PUCRS. The Vice President, Dr Carla Bonan, reinforced the interest in strengthening the existing research networks with Asian partners. The Malaysian representative was accompanied by Ângelo Moletta Filho and Rosane Thier, from Casil Intercâmbios, as well as two APU students.
